Family room
Did you know that we have the ideal family room for when you are travelling with children?
When travelling with (young) children, it is sometimes difficult to find a good place to stay. The ideal solution is a B&B or hotel with a family room. B&Bs often just have double rooms, sometimes children are not allowed, or there are not enough options to entertain the children after a long journey. At La Villonnière B&B, we have two family rooms and a lovely large garden with a swimming pool, trampoline, ping pong table, swing and games.
One of the family rooms is a triple room with a private bathroom. A travel cot with an extra mattress can be added if necessary. This room can therefore sleep a couple and up to two young children.
The other family room is on the second floor and is large enough for two adults and three children (up to 15 years old). The children sleep on a raised platform (1 metre high) that is accessible by a ladder. They usually rush upstairs as soon as they see it. This gives them a bit of their own space, but still close to mum and dad. This room also has its own bathroom.
It is also possible to book our two double rooms. These are located opposite each other on a landing and each has their own bathroom.
Bed & breakfast with children
We understand that children need to burn off some energy after a long journey. Fortunately, we have a large garden where they can run around or play football. In the summer, children often spend hours in our (above-ground) swimming pool and make friends on the trampoline or swing. There is a table tennis table and various games.
Many guests stay with us for one night, but did you know that there are also fun things for children to do in the area? For example, Lake Eguzon with an inflatable course in the water, a ride on a cushion behind a boat or pedal boats. Or Laleuf Park with a course through the trees and a gelly game. Or you can go canoeing or stand-up paddleboarding on the Creuse. On this page, you will find activities for children.
Close to the A20 motorway
A major advantage of staying with us is that we are not far from a main road: 5 minutes from the A20, the motorway that runs from Vierzon to Montauban and is largely toll-free. (We are located between exits 19 and 20.) An ideal route for people travelling to the Dordogne, Lot or the Pyrenees. So you don’t have to drive far for an overnight stay with the whole family. Be sure to book early, because our large family room in particular is often fully booked well in advance.
An additional advantage: we are located just 600 km from Calais. So you’ve already covered the longest distance if your destiny is i.e. the Dordogne or the south of France. The next day, you only have a few hundred kilometres to go to reach your final destination in good time.
Prices
Family room (5 persons) – prices depend on occupancy. This room is suitable for 2 adults and a maximum of 3 children (up to 15 years old).
5 persons: 145 euros per night
4 persons: 135 euros per night
3 persons: 125 euros per night
For stays of at least two nights: 5 euro discount per night.
