La Villonnière Bed&Breakfast

Vakantie in het hart van Frankrijk

Children

In our garden, children will have a good time. There is a swing, trampoline, table tennis and various outdoor games, such as jeu-de-boule, croquet and bean bag toss. We have also noticed that children enjoy hours of fun in our swimming pool. If you still want to go out, there is plenty to do.

Games to play in the garden

What a lovely place to stay overnight on our way to the Pyrenees! Our son Wout also enjoyed the large garden with trampoline and swings, which was a nice change from sitting in the car. After a good night’s sleep and a delicious breakfast, we were able to continue our journey with renewed energy. Paula, Ivo and Wout

Eguzon and lake Chambon

At Lac Chambon, you can swim and do water sports (waterskiing, wakeboarding, on an inflatable cushion behind a boat), an inflatable obstacle course in the water, lots of space for sunbathing, playgrounds for younger children, even mini golf. A café, beach bar and restaurants offer something for everyone. A ferry runs regularly from the jetty on Fougères beach to the main beach in Chambon, where every imaginable water sport is available. There is a sailing club and a water ski school, water slides and pedalos for less ambitious guests! A fun family outing that everyone can enjoy. This lake has not really been discovered yet, so it is only in August that it is busier with (French) tourists.

And after a day at the lake, you can have a delicious meal at La Gamelle in Fougères on the edge of the lake. Simple cuisine, but with friendly service and a beautiful view over the lake!

Visit the Creuse Valley Museum at Eguzon, where you can learn about the valley’s past crafts, the construction of the Eguzon dam and the surrounding countryside.

Paddle boarding on the L'Anglin or the Creuse

Here they call it “faire du paddle”. At the campsite La Quintaine in Bélâbre you can rent a paddle
board in July and August to go paddling on the river L’Anglin. But you can also rent one at the Hotel
du Lac in Crozant to explore the Creuse. It takes some time to get used to keeping your balance, but
after a bit of practice it is a fun activity and great on the water.

The lake of Saint-Pardoux

At the lake of Saint-Pardoux, there are many activities. Too many to mention, in fact. A cable car that crosses the lake, games on the beach, inflatable structures, fitness trail, beach volleyball court, bowling alley, pedal boat, canoe and boat rental. The Saint-Pardoux lake’s swimming pool offers 3 different areas for swimming, relaxing or having fun. On site, an indoor pool complex organised around a sports pool, a games pool, a paddling pool and a wellness area, and an outdoor area with a
wide range of water games and water jets (320m² leisure pool with counter-current river, a paddling pool, an interactive games area, 120m² splash pad, a river with buoys and a 4-track pentagliss).
